McPherson’s middle school sports started on Monday, September 18. The first season’s sport is soccer and they practice every Monday and Thursday from 2:40-3:45. Girls’ soccer is about having fun, learning new things, and getting to know your classmates. On their first practice, the girls’ team, coached by 1st grade teacher Mrs. Barrow, warmed up and then had a scrimmage. The team is focused on having fun playing soccer with friends. Their first game is Monday, October 2, at 3:00. The game will be played at Santiago Middle School, while the boys’ team hosts its first home game here at school. Don’t forget to show school spirit and go to the games and cheer for the team. Let’s go McPherson!
