On Monday, October 14 our girls’ soccer team went to Santiago Middle School to play their last game of the season. The McPherson team beat Santiago with a score of 1-0 to finish the year 4-1.

It wasn’t an easy win. “Some of the girls from Santiago were really good and so was their defense,” admitted Sage Samuel who plays center-mid. The girls were super excited that they won their last game.

“I was jumping up and down because I was so excited,” said Heidy Marroquin, who scored McPherson’s lone goal.

The girls had an amazing time working together and playing like a team. They had fun playing their soccer season. We hope all the girls had fun and look forward to see you on the field next year. The next girl’s sport is Volleyball, which starts later this month.
