On Monday, September 23, McPherson boy’s soccer had a game against Yorba, losing 4-0. The game was much closer than the score shows as the Meteors defense gave up two goals in the last minute of the match.

7th grade forward London Aldridge said, “This game was better than the first.” The team played more on offense and had a better-balanced attack.

8th-grade goalie Kenneth Sutherland was a leader on defense and had many saves.

Rocco Magana had the best scoring opportunity for the McPherson squad. The 6th grade forward missed on a penalty kick after he was tackled on a scoring attempt.

We congratulate the boys for their hard work and better luck next time boys! Next week the boys have an away game at Portola Middle School.
