The week of February 25-March 1 wasRead Across America, based on Dr. Seuss’s books and was created to encourage students to read..Dr. Seuss’s birthday which is Saturday, March 2

Each day there was a theme based on one of Dr. Seuss’s books. Monday was crazy hat day, based on The Cat in the Hat. Tuesday was Red and Blue accessories day based on One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. Wednesday was crazy sock day based on Fox In Socks, so you can whip out your craziest socks to wear. Thursday was twin or multiplicity day, based on Thing One and Thing Two. so you can dress up as your friends. Finally, Friday was pajama day, to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday.

The kids thought that the week was fun and great. The kids favorite day was pajama day. We interviewed some kids about Read Across America. One of the students is name Savannah McWhirter we asked her what was her favorite day this week she said: “Pajama day because we get to wear a free dress and not wear the uniform.”
