Boys Soccer Falls to Cerro Villa

Drew Nagler, Staff Writer

This week McPherson played against Cerro Villa Middle School. The game was played September 24, 2018, and McPherson lost 11-0. 7th grader Matthew P. said, “ There is so much room to improve. The practices should be longer and [our] defense shouldn’t collapse on one player and should spread out”.

Fernando, our goalie, blocked a lot of shots taken by Cerro Villa but, he couldn’t block all of them so that’s why the score was a lot to a little. That means that McPherson should really work on their defense. One of the practices that we have should be a conditioning practice so we are going full speed in the games. This will help because then we will be working harder all the way through the game. When we work hard all the way through the game we will score more goals, save a lot of goals and more. If we work on all of these things are McPherson Soccer Team will be better than ever.
