The 2018 Orange International Street Fair was held over Labor Day weekend. This year’s theme was “A Taste of Tradition”. McPherson’s Leadership class worked the event to raise money for the school. The leadership students sold sausages sandwiches, which came in different types of sausages. Some of those types were bratwurst, polish, and spicy sausages. Tips really benefited the leadership students and they made a lot of tips.

The money leadership made goes towards a lot of different activities that benefit McPherson students, like school dances and the boo-grams. In the past, the leadership class even purchased tables in the quad area and outside of the 100 building.

“The Street Fair was a great experience for me and it was very fun even though it was my first time going to the street fair. -Samuel Astor, 8th-grade Leadership student.

McPherson will be back next year to make more tips.  “Come out to the street fair next year, even if you’re not in leadership, come to be our mascot, it will be a lot of fun and you will meet some great people”, said Mrs. Palucki, the leadership teacher.
