On April 9 the 4th graders went on a field trip to Irvine Park to learn about the early California settlers. They learned about what the settlers did in their free time, and how they lived. They also learned about the time period during the creation of Pony Express, and how much more efficient it was to deliver mail even though it only lasted for about 19 months. While learning about the settlers, the fourth graders panned for gold and did other fun activities. Ava, a fourth-grader said, “I liked it a lot, it was fun learning about history”.
